Today, the actress and former cover girl is living in Beverly Hills with her dogs Samantha and Olivia (above and left). Ann Turkel still struggles to deal with the divorce she received from Richard Harris, even though they were just married for 8 years. Turkel, who was raised in Manhattan and is from a Jewish middle class family, went to the Neighborhood Playhouse as well as the American Musical and Dramatic Academy at the age of 16. Ann began taking dance classes as a child, and her pursuit of the arts carried on throughout her time in college. She credits her mother for helping her pursue artistic pursuits. Ann was a student of dance, acting and vocal throughout her formative years. By the age of 16, Ann had studied at the Musical Theatre Academy and the Neighborhood Playhouse with some of the top acting instructors within the city like Sandy Meisner and Philip Burton. Ann began singing in highschool alongside other students and eventually formed a group. The band was based in Stockbridge, Massachusetts she also had a summer time at the Berkshire Playhouse performing plays like The Pajama Game and West Side Story. It was while performing with her band in an event for fashion when Ann was spotted through Gloria Schiff an editor at Vogue Magazine. Diana Vreeland, the editor in chief of Vogue Magazine, had Ann photograph her first Vogue magazine cover within a couple of days. In the following weeks, Ann was one of the most sought after models in this country, appearing on the cover of top fashion magazines like Vogue Bazaar and Cosmopolitan among many others. Ann had a great time modeling for beauty companies like Max Factor Revlon, Chanel and Europe in Europe following two years.
